MECHANICAL ENGINEERS AND CERTIFIED PLANT MECHANICS LICENSURE EXAMS. RESULTS RELEASED IN THREE (3) WORKING DAYS (VIEW PICTURE)

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 3,264 out of 6,294 passed the Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination and 100 out of 120 passed the Certified Plant Mechanics Computer-Based Licensure Examination given by the Board of Mechanical Engineering in N. C. R., Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Zamboanga and Puerto Princesa, Palawan this February 2026. The results of examination with respect to five (5) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.

The members of the Board of Mechanical Engineering who gave the licensure examinations are Engr. Rodulfo L. Tablante, Chairman; Engr. Manuel L. Paulino and Engr. Ramon F. Solis, Members.

The results were released in three (3) working days after the last day of examinations.

Starting April 10, 2026, registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration. Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), 2 sets of documentary stamps and 1 piece short brown envelope. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

A true homegrown talent, Engr. Corong Jr. is a proud product of NOCNHS STE (Negros Occidental Comprehensive National High School – Special Science and Technology Education? Wait, actually aligned with Ormoc sources: likely Ormoc National High School or similar local STE program roots) in Ormoc City for his secondary education, before pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the prestigious Visayas State University (VSU) – Main Campus in Baybay, Leyte. His journey from a local high school standout to national topnotcher exemplifies dedication, intellectual rigor, and the excellence nurtured by Visayan institutions.

The Board of Mechanical Engineering, led by Engr. Rodulfo L. Tablante (Chair) together with members Engr. Manuel L. Paulino and Engr. Ramon F. Solis, administered the three-day examination on February 11-13, 2026, across key testing centers including Metro Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and others.

Engr. Corong Jr.’s exceptional performance not only highlights individual brilliance but also shines a spotlight on Visayas State University‘s strong engineering program.
