Performance of Schools: March 2026 Civil Engineering Board Exam Results

Good news for aspiring civil engineers! The PRC confirmed that today, April 7, 2026, is the release date for the March 2026 Civil Engineering Licensure Exam (CELE) results. This date follows the guidelines set by PRC Resolution No. 2113, Series of 2025. Out of 18,370 test-takers, 6,438 have passed, achieving a pass rate of 35.05%. The commission noted that one candidate’s results are being withheld pending a review of their examination liabilities.

The release of the March 26–27, 2026 Civil Engineer Licensure Examination (CELE) results is poised to draw intense attention not only from examinees but also from academic institutions across the country. Beyond the individual triumphs and setbacks lies a broader measure of institutional performance—how engineering schools fared in one of the most demanding professional examinations in the Philippines.

Administered by the Professional Regulation Commission, the two-day licensure examination marked a decisive step for thousands of aspiring civil engineers seeking entry into professional practice. For universities and colleges, however, the CELE represents more than a gateway to licensure; it serves as a barometer of instructional quality, curriculum strength, and the effectiveness of board examination preparation programs.

To ensure equitable access and standardized testing conditions, the PRC conducted the examination simultaneously in multiple testing centers nationwide. Key locations included Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Zamboanga, and Pampanga, in addition to Metro Manila. This geographic distribution underscored the commission’s commitment to decentralizing licensure examinations and minimizing logistical barriers for examinees from distant regions.

The broad scope of administration also ensured that institutional performance metrics would reflect a truly national cross-section of engineering education.

The conduct of the CELE was overseen by the PRC Board of Civil Engineering, chaired by Engr. Praxedes P. Bernardo, alongside members Engr. Pericles P. Dakay and Engr. Romeo A. Estañero. Their supervision guaranteed adherence to professional, ethical, and technical standards, reinforcing public confidence in the credibility of the results.

With the results set for release, attention shifts toward the “Performance of Schools” report—an official breakdown that highlights passing percentages per institution, recognizes top-performing schools, and identifies those with exceptional overall ratings.

Historically, this performance report has served as a benchmark for academic excellence. Institutions with consistently high passing rates often attribute their success to rigorous academic frameworks, strong faculty mentorship, industry-aligned curricula, and structured review programs. Meanwhile, emerging institutions see strong board results as validation of their growing academic competitiveness.

For engineering colleges, strong performance enhances institutional reputation, boosts enrollment interest, and strengthens industry partnerships. For students and parents, the data becomes a critical reference point when evaluating prospective schools.

Beyond rankings and percentages, the CELE results carry national significance. Civil engineers play a central role in infrastructure development, disaster resilience, and sustainable urban planning. Each successful examinee represents an addition to the country’s technical workforce—professionals entrusted with designing and maintaining structures that directly affect public safety and economic progress.

As the engineering community awaits the official announcement, anticipation builds not only for the names of individual passers and topnotchers but also for the comparative performance of schools nationwide.

The March 2026 CELE results will ultimately reflect more than examination outcomes—they will reveal how effectively academic institutions are preparing the next generation of civil engineers to meet the structural and developmental challenges of a rapidly evolving nation.
